Common questions

England FAQ

What West End shows would you recommend?
We saw Dirty Dancing and MJ the Musical and both were absolutely brilliant. London's West End is one of the great theatre experiences in the world โ€” the production values are extraordinary and the atmosphere in the theatre is electric. Book well in advance for the best seats and prices. Stratford-upon-Avon for Shakespeare is also a genuinely special experience.
Is the Isle of Wight worth a day trip?
Absolutely. The Isle of Wight is a lovely day out from the south coast of England. The Needles are spectacular, Osborne House is fascinating and the beaches and coastal scenery are beautiful. The ferry from Portsmouth is quick and easy.
How much time should I spend in London?
Even a long weekend gives you meaningful time in the city โ€” enough for a West End show, some museums and galleries and exploring different neighbourhoods. A week is ideal to really get to know the city without feeling rushed.
Is a Stratford-upon-Avon visit worth it?
Very much so โ€” especially if you enjoy theatre. Watching Shakespeare performed in Stratford, in the place where he was born, feels entirely right. It's an easy day trip or overnight from London by train.
