Morocco Series ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Morocco TourRadar ร— Morhara Tours 26 videos

We did the Morocco tour everyone talks about.
Here's our completely honest review.

Marrakech medinas, Atlas Mountain passes, an argan oil co-op that nearly made Nicola cry, and a night in the Sahara under more stars than we knew existed. All of it organised through TourRadar with Morhara Morocco Tours.

Below you'll find our route, the Marrakech walking tour we loved, a few useful facts before you go, six of our favourite videos and the booking links. The full honest review โ€” Nicola's diary, packing list, what to know before you go, and all 26 videos โ€” is on the dedicated review page.

The route

Marrakech โ†’ Atlas Mountains โ†’ Aรฏt Benhaddou โ†’ Ouarzazate โ†’ Aguelmouss โ†’ Oasis Lodge โ†’ Sahara Desert

Our Morocco route, mapped out โ€” Marrakech to the Sahara and back.

The Marrakech walking tour with Ali

Before our main tour we did a walking tour of Marrakech with Ali from Get Marrakech โ€” food, history, the medina, the souks and the hidden corners. It completely changed how we saw the city. We'd make it the first thing anyone does in Marrakech.

Morocco at a glance

Quick facts before you go ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

Nothing encyclopaedic here โ€” just a few useful things worth knowing before you book.

๐Ÿ™๏ธ Capital
Rabat โ€” although Marrakech is one of Morocco's major tourism hubs and where our trip began.
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Language
Arabic and Amazigh are the official languages. Moroccan Arabic (Darija) is widely spoken, and you'll hear plenty of French too.
๐Ÿ’ต Currency
Moroccan Dirham (MAD). Bring cash. Seriously. It's particularly handy in souks, smaller shops and cafรฉs.
๐Ÿ• Time
Morocco is usually close to Irish/UK time, but its clocks can change around Ramadan โ€” check before you fly.
๐Ÿ”Œ Plugs
European-style two-pin plugs are commonly used, so coming from Ireland you'll want an adaptor.
๐ŸŒก๏ธ When to go
Spring and autumn are good choices if you'd rather avoid the most intense summer heat.

For the things we actually wish we'd known before travelling โ€” money, packing, the desert, food and what the tour was really like โ€” they're all in our full review.
